Vice President inaugurates the International Flowers Exhibition

Vice President, Mr. Ali Osman Mohamed Taha on (Friday, March 4) opened the International Flower Exhibition in its 4th round at the national botanical garden.
Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Dr. Abdul Halim Ismail Al-mutafi, at the opening ceremony, organized by the Sudanese Horticulture Society in collaboration with the Modern Refrigerators Plant and Emipharma Laboratories, affirmed support of the Ministry to the society with 10 reserves for the cultivation of seedlings.
He added that Sudan is taking care of the flowers industry while the world is witnessing a steady increase in the arms industry.
For his part, Mr. Amir Abdullah Khalil, head of the Sudanese Horticulture Society said that the aim of the exhibition is to raise awareness of the Sudanese people about different branches of horticulture such as fruits, vegetables and flowers in addition to ornamental plants next to promotion of products of agricultural activity, which contribute to support of the national economy.
